Bruce Jackson

Bruce Jackson is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in database system development and management. Currently serving as the Director of Database Engine Development at Salesforce since February 2022, Bruce previously held various roles at IBM from January 2001 to February 2022, including Senior Technical Manager, where leadership involved developing the Db2 row and column store runtime engine and enhancing operational efficiency for cloud services. Prior experience includes software engineering at Informix Software, focusing on Parallel Database Server development. Bruce holds dual master's degrees in Computer Science and Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a bachelor's degree in Environmental Geology and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
