Kaiyang Sun is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to graduate in 2027. Experience includes an AI/ML R&D internship at Panduit focused on Deep Learning for Instance Segmentation from April to August 2025, followed by a Software Engineer internship at HERE Technologies, which started in August 2025. Additionally, an incoming Software Engineer internship at Salesforce is scheduled for Summer 2026. Kaiyang also served as the Telemetry Lead for the Electrical Subteam at Illini Solar Car in April 2025. Prior education includes attendance at Neuqua Valley High School from 2019 to 2023.
