Mark Ustinov

Mark Ustinov has a diverse professional background in software engineering and release management, beginning with a Bioinformatics Internship at Stanford University in 2008, where data-parsing for cancer cell lines was automated using MySQL and custom PERL scripts. Mark transitioned to Websense in 2009, first serving as a Software Engineering Intern before advancing to Project Lead II, where leadership skills were showcased by guiding a 14-member team in developing network traffic-monitoring appliances. Mark's tenure at Salesforce, from 2019 to 2021, involved a series of progressively responsible roles within release management, ultimately leading a high-performing team that managed software releases across a $10B+ portfolio. Mark holds a B.A. in Psychology from UC San Diego, complemented by minors in Cognitive Science and German Literature.
