Michael Flanakin builds intelligent systems that enhance operational excellence and drive value through data and AI. With extensive experience at Microsoft, they served as Principal Product Manager for Microsoft Cost Management, guiding a global team to deliver cost analytics and reporting solutions, and founded the Microsoft FinOps toolkit to aid organizations in adopting FinOps practices. Michael is currently the Founder and Managing Director at Allyte, while also providing advisory services at Alescent to help organizations optimize cloud investments. They are a member of the FinOps Foundation Technical Advisory Council and have a B.S. in Computer Science from Troy University in Montgomery.
