Richard Chang

Richard Chang is a seasoned software architect and senior director specializing in AI/ML, currently serving as the Lead Architect of the global AI/ML (Einstein) Platform at Salesforce since January 2024. Previously, Richard held the position of Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Intuit from 2019 to 2024, leading a large AI/ML team and overseeing the development of innovative products. As Co-Founder and CTO of a stealth-mode startup focused on Machine Learning Acceleration from 2017 to 2019, Richard developed products integrating software and hardware to enhance learning for CNN and RNN applications. Earlier career experience includes serving as Director of Engineering and Software Architect at Juniper Networks from 2006 to 2018, and as Principal Software Engineer at Agilent Technologies from 2000 to 2006. Richard holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and two degrees from Fudan University: a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics.
