Dr. Ron C. Smith is the Vice President of Philanthropy at Salesforce, where they lead a global grantmaking team and manage over $225 million in philanthropic investments focused on education and economic opportunity. With more than 25 years in education and philanthropy, Ron served in various roles, including principal and network superintendent in the Oakland public school districts, before joining Salesforce in 2017. Named an AfroTech Future 50 Honoree, Ron is dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion for underrepresented groups, and they actively contribute as an advisor to multiple educational organizations. Dr. Smith holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Social Justice from California State University East Bay, alongside a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley.
