Tom Gowers has extensive experience in technical sales and pre-sales management, beginning with a Sponsored Graduate role at Thorn EMI from 1989 to 1994. Gowers worked as a Pre-sales Engineer at Visual Numerics from 1994 to 1998 before progressing to roles at Stellent Inc as a Pre-sales Manager and later at Oracle Corporation, where Gowers held various managerial titles until 2009. Gowers returned to Oracle in 2011 as a Solution Director and focused on Enterprise 2.0 solutions. From 2014 to 2018, Gowers served as Principal Solution Engineer for both Financial Services and Retail at Salesforce. Currently, Gowers is a Distinguished Solution Engineer in Retail at Salesforce.com since February 2022, specializing in enhancing digital customer experiences with Salesforce Customer 360. Gowers holds a BSc in Computer Science (1st Class Honours) from Royal Holloway, University of London, and completed an OSS Retail Masters at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
