Robert Barnebey

Robert Barnebey has a diverse work experience in various roles related to data engineering and software development. Robert most recently worked at Salesloft as a Senior Data Engineer, where they developed data lakes using Apache Spark and Delta.io stored in GCS and S3. Robert also ingested Kafka and Pub/Sub streams with Apache Spark. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at ByteBlender, where they were responsible for technical and training consulting, as well as data engineering. Robert developed an open-source file schema for Java and implemented an insurance data verification SaaS solution using GCP and other cloud services. Before that, Robert was the Senior Director of Data Engineering and Software Development at Real-Comp, where they managed a team of software data engineers and provided strategic partnership support for multiple home and auto insurance providers. Robert also trained the team on new technology and implemented more stable infrastructure. Earlier in their career, Robert worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Secureworks, where they supported client endpoint sensors and managed remote and overseas teams. Robert also provided sensor support for various platforms. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Byte Blender LLC and held the role of Director of Data and Engineering/Senior Software Developer at Real-Comp. In these positions, they managed data marketing services for insurance entities, developed multiple public and private information datasets, and analyzed data to enhance existing products and create new ones.

Robert Barnebey attended Texas State University from 1994 to 2007, where they obtained a BA in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Science and Technology. In May 2021, they obtained additional certifications, including AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
