Sharon Devir

Co Founder and Chairman of the Board at SaliCrop

Sharon Devir has extensive work experience in the agricultural technology sector. In 1991, they started their career as a Milking Robot Management Research Engineer at IMAG-DLO in Wageningen, Netherlands. Sharon then moved on to work as Chief Scientist at SAE Afikim from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, they co-founded Para Data and served as its CEO until 2001. From 2002 to 2007, Sharon was the CEO of NGT Technological Incubator. Sharon then worked as a consultant at Bikurofe L.T.D from 2009 to 2011.

In 2013, Sharon co-founded SaliCrop and became the Chairman of the Board. SaliCrop focuses on developing non-GMO seed treatments to cope with challenging soil and irrigation conditions. In 2012, they co-founded Roots Sustainable Agricultural Technologies Ltd and served as the CEO and Executive Director until January 2020. Sharon continued in the role of Executive Director until present. In 2017, Sharon also became a Director at Skyx, and later that year, they co-founded Rimonim Agro Fund, where they are currently a Co-founder and General Partner. Additionally, in 2022, they co-founded Riman Fund and became a General Partner.

Throughout their career, Sharon Devir has demonstrated a commitment to utilizing technology to enhance agricultural efficiency and capacity.

Sharon Devir obtained their Ph.D. degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Wageningen University & Research. Sharon attended the university from 1992 to 1996.
