Eric Chen

Eric Chen has extensive experience in artificial intelligence and software engineering, having held significant roles at leading technology companies and research institutions. Chen served as a research intern at Microsoft Research, where a formal verification framework for multiparty online transactions was developed. As a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, Chen focused on completing doctoral studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Career advancements include positions as a software engineer and senior software engineer at Google, specializing in time series forecasting, machine learning infrastructure, and reinforcement learning. Chen also led development efforts in machine learning and natural language processing at Gridspace, and held roles as a research intern at Microsoft Research. Currently, Chen is the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Salient and previously co-founded Normal Corporation while serving as CTO. Recent work includes heading applied AI initiatives at Reka AI.
