Mike Kight has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering. Mike began their career in 1987 as a Software Engineer Specialist at Lockheed Martin. In 1994, they moved to HighwayMaster Inc. as a Software Engineer. From 1996 to 2014, they worked at PhotoTelesis as a Software Engineering Manager, Sr. Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. In 2014, they joined Oceaneering as a Sr. Software Engineer. Since 2015, they have been a Principal Software Engineer at Salient Systems, a leading provider of enterprise video surveillance solutions. Theirwork at Salient Systems consists mainly of IP Camera and Network Video Recorder integrations to the Main Server and Video Client, video streaming over UDP/TCP/HTTP, device interface and control over HTTP and serial, Fisheye dewarping library interfaces, Pan/Tilt/Zoom integrations, Event and Video Analytics processing, and system enhancements and bug fixes as required.
Mike Kight attended Howard Payne University from 1981 to 1983, studying Computer Science. Mike then transferred to the University of North Texas, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science.
