Max Schmidt has a diverse range of work experience in digital marketing and leadership roles. Max began their career as a Digital Acquisition Intern at Barclays in 2015. In 2016, they interned at Halldis in Milan, Italy, where they focused on website development, SEO, and paid media optimization. After that, Max founded BTC, LLC in 2013 and served as the Founder until 2016.
Max then joined Barclays as a Digital Marketing Manager, where they led the bank's SEO strategy and implemented a robust tech stack. Max later became an Assistant Vice President, Airline Partnerships, and was responsible for managing partnerships with airlines. In 2021, they were promoted to Vice President, ECM Digital Strategy, where they developed and executed digital marketing strategies.
Following their time at Barclays, Max joined Concerto Card Company in 2021 as the Director of Marketing. In this role, they led the marketing efforts for the company until 2022.
Currently, Max is the Director of Digital Marketing at Sallie Mae, where they are responsible for driving digital marketing initiatives.
Max Schmidt earned an Interdisciplinary Degree (BA) in Business and Communication with a Minor in History from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Max obtained various certifications including the Adthena Certification program from Adthena in March 2020, the Adobe Ad Academy SPECIALIST Certification from Adobe in May 2018, the Adobe Target certification from Adobe in 2017, the Google Analytics Certification from Google in February 2015, the Google AdWords Certification from Google in July 2015, and the BrightEdge Certified Professional certification from BrightEdge in 2015.
