John Wilson

John Wilson has worked in the software engineering industry since 2005. John began their career at Intel as a Student Placement, followed by a Laboratory Demonstrator role at the University of Manchester in 2007. In 2010, they worked as an Engineer at Roke Manor Research, and in 2011 they worked as an Engineer at Dstl. In 2012, they became Head of RF Research and Development and Product Development Engineer at Path Intelligence. In 2016, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ultra Electronics Command & Control Systems and as a Senior Software Engineer (contract) at TomTom. Finally, since 2017 they have been a Principal Software Engineer at Salunda Ltd, where they have developed the software and firmware for the Crew Hawk real time location system (RTLS). John has also developed multiple location algorithms based on machine learning techniques.

John Wilson attended The University of Manchester from 2001 to 2010. John completed a MEng in Mechatronic Engineering in 2007 and a PhD in Communications Engineering in 2010.
