Joshua Okello

Joshua Okello has a diverse range of work experience. Joshua is currently the Director of Service Delivery at Sama, a leading provider of accurate data for AI. Prior to this, they were the Operations Lead for Service Delivery in Uganda at Sama.

Before joining Sama, Joshua worked at Andela, where they held multiple roles including Senior Manager of Partner Engineering and Partner Engineering Manager. In these roles, they provided technical leadership and delivery management for software engineers and advised partners on technology solutions and agile practices.

Joshua also co-founded and served as CEO of WinSenga Ltd/WinSenga Spa, a company focused on improving prenatal and postnatal care in developing countries. Additionally, they worked as an Individual Consultant for Innovations for Social Change at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where they supported innovation efforts in Adolescent, Youth, and Sexual Reproductive Health.

Joshua has also worked as a Developer Consultant at Nivi, Inc., as a Co-Founder and Product Lead at The Diet Assistant (U) Ltd, and as a Microsoft YouthSpark Advocate, 4Afrika AppStar, and Student Partner at Microsoft. Joshua has also interned at Orange Uganda and worked as a freelance tech writer for The Notice Newspaper.

Joshua Okello completed their Bachelor of Information Systems degree from Makerere University between 2010 and 2014. Joshua then pursued an MBA at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "How to Be More Strategic in Six Steps" and "The Art of Leadership (getAbstract Summary)" from LinkedIn in 2022.
