Lawrence Agufa

Lawrence Agufa, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, currently serves as an IT Technical Project Manager at Sama since January 2022, where responsibilities include planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects. Key achievements include managing project resources effectively, leading an audit process for TISAX certification, implementing KPI reporting automation, and enhancing department capacity building. Previously, Lawrence worked at Daystar University as an Adjunct Trainer facilitating CAPM and PMP certification training. Significant accomplishments include designing relevant curricula and training multiple cohorts. Prior to academia, Lawrence held leadership roles in IT at Kempinski Hotels and Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, with achievements in technology systems management and security implementations. Education includes a Master's degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Daystar University, and a Higher Diploma in Business Computing from Strathmore University.
