Tony MacDonald

Tony MacDonald is the current CFO at Sama. Tony has also worked as a consulting CFO at CrowdSmart.ai, Crescendo Education Group, LLC, and NPX Inc. From 2014 to 2018, they were the CFO at Sama where they helped transform the company from a small startup into a leading AI service provider with A-list tech customers. Under their leadership, Sama quadrupled its revenue, ended turnover, grew its staff to 2,500, expanded operations to 5 countries, turned profitable, and raised 8-figure impact investment offerings. Prior to joining Sama, Tony worked as an Executive Global Sales Operations Senior Director at Oracle and as a Finance Senior Manager for Levi's US. Tony took a sabbatical from 2012 to 2014 before starting their own consulting business.

Tony MacDonald has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University in Accounting and Finance. Tony is also certified from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in CPA (inactive).
