Alistair Knott

Alistair Knott is an experienced professional in the agriculture and food industries, currently serving as a Listening Volunteer at Samaritans since March 2023, where the focus is on preventing suicide through compassionate support. Previously, Alistair held the role of Precision Agriculture Development Director at Proagrica from May 2014 to January 2023, contributing significantly to information and analytics in agriculture. Prior to that, Alistair served as Commercial Director at Frontier Agriculture Ltd, overseeing a sizable team and managing budgets and campaigns between April 1999 and April 2014. Alistair's early career includes roles as Commodity Trader/Key Account Manager at Cargill and Arable Farm Manager at John Lory Farmers and Gaidrew Farm Ltd. Alistair's academic background includes a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture and Economics from West of Scotland Agricultural College, complemented by education at Fettes College.
