Jo McCarthy

Jo McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jo began their career as a Secretary at Galbraiths in 1984, and later worked as a PA to the Finance Director at Saatchi & Saatchi from 1985 to 1990. From 1990 to 1994, they served as a Personnel Officer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. In 2015, Jo joined Samaritans as a Samaritan Listening Volunteer, and later became the Director for Recruitment & Selection at Bromley & Orpington Samaritans in 2019. During the same year, they also started working as a Reading Tutor at Coram Beanstalk, where they stayed until 2020. Most recently, in 2021, Jo worked as a Vaccinator at St John Ambulance until 2022.

Jo McCarthy attended New Hall School from 1976 to 1983. Later, from 1990 to 1993, they attended the College for Distributive Trades, Leicester Sqr, where they obtained a CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General.
