Stuart Gannon

Stuart Gannon has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role is as the Head of Media at Samaritans since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Communications Specialist at NHS Surrey Heartlands from October 2019 to November 2020. From April 2015 to October 2019, Stuart served as the Media Relations Manager at NHS England, where they led media responses on various topics and managed a team. Before that, they worked as a Press Manager at the Big Lottery Fund from April 2012 to February 2015, where they were responsible for various communication and media-related tasks. Stuart also has experience as a Press Officer at NASUWT from September 2007 to April 2012, where they worked on documentary productions and media coverage. Additionally, they worked as a Reporter at Emap from March 2006 to September 2007, focusing on news reporting in the construction sector. Finally, Stuart began their career as an Assistant Press Officer at the Big Lottery Fund from July 2005 to March 2006.

Stuart Gannon has a degree in Journalism Studies from The University of Sheffield, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Stuart also has additional certifications, including PRINCE2 Practitioner and Prince2 Foundation, obtained in 2017 from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
