Senior Vice President Foodservice at Sambazon

Robert Spinelli has held various leadership roles in the foodservice industry throughout their career. Robert started at Dr Pepper/7UP as an Account Sales Manager in 1992, then moved up to become a National Account Sales Manager and later a Senior Manager of Marketing Strategy. In 1999, they joined PepsiCo Foodservice as a National Account Manager, where they played a significant role in rebuilding the Fountain Foodservice Division and acquiring new business. Spinelli then transitioned to become a Senior National Account Sales Manager, responsible for managing emerging chains and securing new business with hot concepts in foodservice. In 2003, they took on the role of Director of Marketing for Taco Bell at PepsiCo, leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive beverage sales and overall profit.

In 2006, Spinelli became the Senior Director of Business Development at PepsiCo Foodservice, where they successfully developed new business with large national chains and managed partnerships with Starbucks and IHOP. Robert played a crucial role in winning the corporate endorsement from IHOP, resulting in a long-term fountain beverage contract.

In 2008, Spinelli joined Torani as the General Manager of Business Development for North America. During their tenure, they led business development initiatives and strategies across multiple channels and supported international growth by developing global chain accounts.

In 2017, Spinelli joined SAMBAZON as the Vice President of Business Development for Commercial Chain Accounts. Robert focused on increasing revenue, growing share, and developing the Sambazon brand through commercial foodservice business, key accounts, and chains. Robert achieved eleven consecutive quarters of double-digit growth during their tenure. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing, On Premise, where they were responsible for growing the foodservice business through sales and marketing strategies.

Most recently, Spinelli has been serving as the Senior Vice President of Foodservice at SAMBAZON since July 2022. In this role, they lead the fastest-growing division within the company and is responsible for creating and implementing a three-year strategy to double revenue and grow share in commercial and non-commercial segments. Robert'sfocus areas include new channel development, category innovation, competitive analysis, financial management, and building a world-class team.
