Matthew Knowles

Matthew Knowles has a long and varied work experience. Matthew began their career in 2011 as an Operations Manager at CMS (China Merchant Services). In 2012, they became an Office Manager at YK Pao School. In 2013, they moved to CineMassive, where they held roles as a Scrum Master, Assistant Project Manager, and Business Systems Analyst. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Software Craftsman at Greater Sum, where they built a customer portal using an AWS serverless architecture, added a graphical timeline feature to a client's existing codebase, built an Android app for streaming and displaying video, and led 10+ four-day on-site workshops on Agile Technical Practices for senior developers at a Fortune 100 company. Matthew also mentored four apprentices in all aspects of software development and delivery over their eight to twelve-month apprenticeships. In 2019, they became a Software Engineer at Emmersion Learning. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at both SamCart and OncoLens.

Matthew Knowles obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management from Western Washington University between 2005 and 2011. Prior to that, they attended Seattle Academy from 2001 to 2005. Matthew also holds certifications from CompTIA (CompTIA A+ ce, obtained in November 2015), InfoComm International (Certified Technology Specialist, obtained in July 2014), and Scrum Alliance (Certified Scrum Master, obtained in January 2015).
