Kimathi Marangu

Kimathi Marangu serves as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee at SamCERA, managing a $7 billion pension fund in Silicon Valley. Marangu is also a Life Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and holds positions on the Audit Committee and Advisory Board of Stanford Federal Credit Union, as well as serving on the Board and Audit Committee of Compass Family Services. Previous roles include Global Head of Prepaid at Visa, where Marangu led significant product initiatives, and Board Member of the American Red Cross Bay Area. Notable earlier positions include Chairman of The Vassar Fund and Vice President of Business Development at Plastic Jungle. Marangu's educational background includes an MBA from Stanford University and an A.B. in Economics from Vassar College.
