Kurt Hoefer, CFA, serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Summitry, a wealth management firm established in August 2004, focusing on personalized financial planning and investment strategies. Since September 2016, Kurt has also been a member of the Board of Retirement for the San Mateo County Employees’ Retirement Association (SamCERA), a defined benefit pension plan. Previously, Kurt founded Hoefer Capital Management, LLC in June 2002, advising individuals and families on financial matters before merging the business into Golub Group in August 2004. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President at both Thomas Weisel Partners, LLC and Banc of America Securities, LLC, where investment banking and financial advisory services were provided. Kurt holds an AB in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA in Finance from UCLA.
