Robert Raw

Robert Raw serves as the 7th Member of the Board at SamCERA, having been elected by the Public Safety Membership since July 2018. In this role, Robert is responsible for overseeing all investments of the retirement fund and managing the administration of SamCERA. Prior to this, Robert held various positions within law enforcement, including Sergeant and Detective at the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, where responsibilities included managing training for sworn personnel and conducting background investigations. Additional leadership roles included serving as President of the San Mateo County Law Enforcement Training Manager's Association and active duties as a Police Officer in the City of Millbrae. Robert holds a Master of Public Administration from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from San José State University.
