Anna H. is a seasoned communications strategist and principal speechwriter at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), where they currently advise and publish executive communications for the Assistant Secretary. Previously, Anna held various leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Communication at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they led communication efforts during Operation Warp Speed. With a background that includes serving as a Communications Advisor to the Commander at U.S. Central Command and Deputy Director of Public Affairs at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, Anna has extensive experience in public affairs, crisis communication, and community outreach. Anna earned a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University and has a background in project management from The George Washington University.
