Anne Herron

Anne Herron possesses extensive experience in leadership roles within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the US Department of Health & Human Services. Currently serving as the Director of the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at SAMHSA since October 2018, Anne previously held significant positions including Acting Director of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment and the Office of Policy Planning and Innovation. Prior roles at SAMHSA included Director of the Division of Regional and National Policy. With a career that began in the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, Anne has a strong foundation in treatment services and policy development. Anne holds a Master of Science degree in Developmental Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and has further education from the University at Albany.
