Brandon Costerison

Brandon Costerison serves as a Senior Public Affairs Specialist at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since August 2023, leading public affairs efforts in substance-use initiatives and crafting strategic communication for varied audiences. Prior experience includes positions as a Communications Specialist at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the National Institutes of Health Office of Data Science Strategy, where Brandon developed communications products and engaged staff in initiatives. As Press Secretary for the DC Department of Employment Services, Brandon implemented media strategies while previously managing communications for the NCADA and the Missouri Governor's Office, focusing on public communications and crisis management. Brandon's early career encompassed organizing and outreach roles in political campaigns and advocacy, complemented by a Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Auburn University.
