Cady Berkel

National Advisory Council Member, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention

Cady Berkel has an extensive academic and research background, including positions as Associate Research Professor and Associate Professor at Arizona State University from May 2018 to August 2020. Previous roles include Assistant Research Professor at the REACH Institute from March 2011 to May 2018, Post-Doctoral Fellow at both the Prevention Research Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a Presidential Graduate Fellow at the Center for Family Research, University of Georgia from August 2001 to August 2006. Cady Berkel has been involved with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration since July 2019 as a National Advisory Council Member. Educational credentials include a PhD in Child & Family Development from The University of Georgia and a BA in Psychology from The George Washington University, along with fellowships and training from Indiana University Bloomington and Yale University.
