David Golz, F-ABFT, currently serves as the Technical Director and Responsible Person at Abbott, overseeing laboratory operations in compliance with National Laboratory Certification Program (NLCP) requirements. In addition to this role, David has been an NLCP Laboratory Inspector for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since 2015 and recently began serving as a CAP Laboratory Inspector for the College of American Pathologists in 2024. David's previous experience includes working as a Forensic Toxicologist at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, where responsibilities included analyzing biological samples for toxic substances and preparing reports for legal cases. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has completed graduate coursework in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University.
