Jill Mays is a highly experienced professional in mental health and substance abuse counseling, currently serving as the Division Director for Crisis System Transformation at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Since 2007, Jill has owned and managed a private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, where client-focused techniques are emphasized. As an engaging public speaker and trainer, Jill provides motivational presentations for various organizations. Jill’s previous roles include leadership positions within the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, overseeing multiple statewide programs aimed at behavioral health prevention and support services. Additionally, Jill has contributed significantly to crisis intervention and trauma recovery efforts, particularly for veterans. A committed community leader, Jill also serves as an Associate Minister at New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration degree, Jill holds multiple advanced degrees in psychology and counseling.
