Mary Blake is a seasoned professional in public health with extensive experience in behavioral health services and trauma awareness. Currently serving as a Senior Public Health Advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since January 2022, Mary has held various leadership roles within SAMHSA, including Program Lead for initiatives focused on community behavioral health clinics, supported employment, and consumer networks. Prior to this, Mary worked at the Department of Health and Human Services as a Public Health Advisor from June 2007 to January 2022, and chaired the Federal Partners Committee on Women and Trauma from January 2011 to September 2020. As a founding member and President of the Consumer Action Network from February 2003 to May 2007, Mary championed the rights of individuals with disabilities. Mary's career also includes a position as a Senior Consultant at Words at Work International. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Catholic University.
