Stephen Jenkins

Stephen Jenkins is a Social Science Analyst at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) since January 2022. Previously, as a Program Manager at LMI from December 2018 to March 2021, Stephen led the development of the CMS Innovation Center portfolio and managed significant projects, including the CMS Report to Congress. Stephen also served as Model Lead at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services from March 2014 to November 2018, successfully managing teams and saving the Medicare Trust Fund over $300 million through policy changes. Other positions include Associate for Health Policy at the United States Senate Finance Committee, Fellow at Hennepin Health, and Dukakis Fellow at the Governor's Office of Alaska. Stephen holds a Master of Public Policy in Social and Urban Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan.
