Thijs Bootsma has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Thijs began their career as a Participant at The National ThinkTank in 2014, where they acted as a team lead responsible for the analysis of the value of big data in the mobility sector, the analysis of the shortage of data scientists in the Netherlands and the development of innovative solutions in the healthcare sector. In 2015, they worked as a Data Scientist at Deloitte Innovation BV, an Advanced Analytics Researcher at ORTEC Consulting, a Business Analyst at Collaborne, and a Data Analyst Intern at THNK - School of Creative Leadership. In 2016, they worked as a Data Scientist at Pacmed, a Business Analyst at Treeway, a Consultant at Bain & Company, and a Social Impact Externship (Leave of Absence) at Bain & Company. In 2019, they worked as a Social Impact Consultant at Almado. Thijs is currently working as the Head of Product at Samotics.
Thijs Bootsma attended Tabor College Werenfridus from 2003 to 2009, where they studied TVWO Nature and Technology. Thijs then went on to the University of Groningen, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrieel management / Industrial engineering and management from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they started a Master of Science (MSc) in Stochastics & Financial Mathematics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they completed in 2016. During this time, they also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics at VU Amsterdam from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, they attended a Summer School Entrepreneurship at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics.
