Shareef Nahas

Shareef Nahas has a strong background in scientific and laboratory services. Shareef is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer and VP of Global Operations at Sampled since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Director at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine from May 2016 to January 2021. Shareef also held the position of Executive Laboratory Director at Genoptix, Inc. from November 2013 to May 2016, and previously worked as a Laboratory Director at Ambry Genetics from September 2011 to November 2013.

Shareef Nahas has a strong educational background in the field of genetics and biology. Shareef obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from UC Irvine in the years 1995-1999. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Genetics at UCLA, which they completed in 2008. Shareef then furthered their education at UCLA as a Fellow in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics from 2009 to 2011.

Additionally, Shareef Nahas has obtained additional certifications in the field of medical genetics and genomics.
