Tomeu Vanrell

Tomeu Vanrell is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in energy projects and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as the Responsable Ingeniería Mecánica Plantas Industriales at Sampol since August 2015, Tomeu coordinates and develops a team of mechanical engineers in the execution of energy plants. Previous roles include Project Manager, managing and planning the execution of energy plant construction projects, and Technical Project Manager, leading cogeneration power plant projects. Prior to Sampol, Tomeu worked at Altom Power Hydro from November 2007 to August 2015, where responsibilities included the technical development of hydraulic turbines and project engineering. Tomeu's early career includes a project at Renault in Paris focused on hybrid vehicle characteristics. Educational qualifications include a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, further studies at ENSTA Paris, and a degree in Ciencias Empresariales from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
