Samsar was created to unlock the value stored in millions of discarded lithium batteries each year. Based on the concept of samsara, the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, Samsar designs batteries for a circular economy. Batteries designed to last. Designed to be serviceable. Designed to be easily restored and repurposed after their first use. Batteries designed to live multiple lives.

Samsar engineers and manufactures new lithium batteries and partners with leading EV manufacturers to repurpose EV batteries for numerous other applications. Our patented and UL 1974 compliant re-assembly process captures 90–100% of a used EV battery’s content, unlocking the full value of the lithium battery supply chain.

The result: tariff free, planet friendly lithium batteries assembled in the USA and built for multiple generations of use.

Samsar is based in Houston, Texas, USA. New lithium batteries are assembled in Dallas, Texas. Repurposed lithium batteries from EVs and other applications are tested and certified in Houston with proof of quality data saved on our NthLife battery passport and available via QR code on the battery.

Samsar was incubated by Mobility Impact Partners (MIP) and was founded by Steve Hellman, co-founder of Energy Impact Partners, and founder of MIP.

Samsar designs custom lithium batteries for enterprise customers. Bring Samsar’s quality, cost advantage, and performance to your project. We partner with you to build the perfect battery with a clear reuse path and multi-generational build quality. Email info@samsarresources.com
