James Wright

James Wright is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in directing technical initiatives and managing large teams across prominent technology companies. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Samsara, James has previously held significant roles at Meta as a Senior Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included leading key initiatives for the App Ads business, and at Facebook, where notable contributions were made to live video infrastructure and remote presence features. Prior to this, James gained valuable experience at Amazon in various leadership positions, most notably as Senior Software Development Manager for Alexa Communications and Amazon Video. With earlier roles at Thrust Interactive, MaxMedia Design, IDC Global, Codaphi, LLC, and Stretch Media, James has demonstrated a strong capacity for project management, product strategy, and team leadership throughout a diverse career in technology.
