Matt Thomas

Matt Thomas is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a career spanning over two decades, currently serving as a Staff Product Design Engineer at Samsara since January 2023. Prior to this, Matt held various positions at GoPro, including Principal Mechanical Engineer in Advanced Engineering and Senior Manager in Accessories Engineering. Key responsibilities included leading multi-functional international teams and managing next-generation R&D projects. Previous experience also includes senior roles at Motorola Mobility, where Matt led the design of innovative consumer products and ensured compliance with environmental regulations, as well as contracting roles at Philips Design, NCR Corporation, and others. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained in 1999.
