Rob Polston

Rob Polston has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rob is currently the Director of Corporate Recruiting at Samsara, where they lead recruiting efforts for various departments. Prior to this, they served as a Budget Review Committee Member at the City of Poway, providing guidance on the annual budget and improving transparency. Rob also has experience in the academic sector, serving as a member of the MBV Board of Counselors at the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, where they helped veteran students transition to civilian careers. In addition, Rob has a longstanding military background, serving as a Lieutenant Colonel and Battalion Commander in the US Army Reserve, with previous active-duty assignments in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Rob has also held various leadership positions at Northrop Grumman, including Director of Talent Acquisition, Acting Compensation Director, and Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition. At Amazon Web Services, Rob was a Recruiting Manager and played a pivotal role in creating a recruiting analytics dashboard. Prior to that, they were the Diversity and Military Veteran Staffing Manager at Intel Corporation, where they developed and managed a military veteran hiring program. Earlier in their career at Intel, Rob worked as an HR Finance Specialist, providing financial analyses and recommendations for HR and Corporate Travel.

Rob Polston has an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management. Rob also holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the Recruiting Leadership Lab from Recruiting Toolbox, Inc. in February 2021, and various certifications from AIRS such as the Certified Social Media Recruiter (CSMR) in October 2014, Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter (CSSR) in September 2014, Advanced Certified Internet Recruiter (ACIR) in August 2014, Elite Certified Recruitment Expert (ECRE) in August 2014, Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC) in August 2014, Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR) in July 2014, and Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) in July 2014.
