Youngkwon Lim is a Research Engineer and Principal at Samsung Electronics, leading projects in immersive media services and developing international standards for next-generation broadcasting and 5G media. Previously, Lim served as CEO of Media Innovation Center, where they specialized in digital media strategies and established numerous innovative IPRs adopted as essential patents. Prior to that, Lim held roles as VP of Business Development at net&tv Inc. and as a Member of the Engineering Staff at ETRI, contributing significantly to the development of MPEG-4 standards and mobile broadcasting technologies. Lim is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Signal Processing and a Ph.D. in Multimedia Communication.
