SANA Café is a beachfront specialty coffee shop in the Dinagat Islands, built to bring high-quality coffee and a considered café experience to a remote setting.

The café was created in response to a clear gap. Locals and visitors had limited access to well-sourced, well-prepared coffee, despite growing tourism and a strong base of professionals and remote workers on the islands.

SANA focuses on specialty-grade beans, sourced through partners in Manila, and prepared by trained baristas using commercial-grade equipment, including a Sanremo Cafe Racer. Drinks range from classic espresso-based coffee to signature options such as s’mores and Biscoff lattes, alongside house-made iced beverages.

The space is designed to work across different use cases. It combines air-conditioned indoor seating, a raised patio, and beachfront tables. Guests use the café for early morning coffee, remote work with high-speed internet, casual meetings, and evening sessions.

The build prioritised natural materials and local craftsmanship. The structure features solid wood, bamboo flooring, and custom furniture, including an 11-foot communal table. Over 50 local workers contributed to the project during construction.

SANA operates with a focus on consistency, training, and simple systems that hold up in a remote environment. The goal is not just to serve coffee, but to set a standard for what a well-run café can look like outside major cities.
