Srini Dharmapuri

Srini Dharmapuri has extensive work experience in the field of geospatial technologies, remote sensing, and GIS. Srini currently holds the position of Vice President and Chief Scientist at Sanborn, where they are responsible for implementing scientific, research, and technology improvements across the company. Previously, Srini worked as the Director of Geospatial at M A Engineering Consultants, where they were responsible for managing the research and workflow for LiDAR, Photogrammetry, and UAS projects. Srini also served as the LiDAR Scientist/Senior Associate at Michael Baker Corporation, where they were a subject matter expert in geospatial technologies and successfully established engineering principles and procedures for the company. Prior to that, Srini worked at Geofiny Technologies as the Director, overseeing the company's US operation and driving business development in the areas of Photogrammetry, LiDAR, and GIS. Srini began their career at the Indian Space Research Organization, undertaking various roles including Scientist/Engineer and Computer Systems Manager. In these roles, they gained experience in remote sensing application software projects, database management, and GIS-oriented project formulation. Srini has a proven track record of driving business growth, implementing quality control systems, and providing technical expertise in geospatial technologies.

Srini Dharmapuri completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

- From 1978 to 1983, Srini Dharmapuri pursued a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Madras.

- From 1983 to 1985, Srini Dharmapuri obtained an MTech degree in Remote Sensing from Anna University.

- From 1995 to 1998, Srini Dharmapuri pursued a Diploma in Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

- From 1999 to 2006, Srini Dharmapuri completed a PhD in Remote Sensing from Andhra University.

In addition to their formal education, Srini Dharmapuri has also obtained several certifications:

- In January 2009, they acquired the GISP certification from GISCI.

- In June 2008, they obtained the Certified Photogrammetrist certification from ASPRS.

- In July 2010, Srini Dharmapuri became a Surveyor Photogrammetrist certified by VA.

- In May 2010, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.

- In April 2017, Srini Dharmapuri acquired the ASPRS Certified Mapping Scientist - LiDAR certification from ASPRS.
