Simon Tam

Simon Tam is currently an AI & Biomedical Research Resident at SandboxAQ since September 2023. As a Graduate Student Researcher at Université Laval since June 2018, Simon focuses on developing AI-based methods and neural network architectures for bionic limb integration and human-machine interfaces. Previously held positions include teaching assistant in electronics and biomedical engineering courses, RF and Hardware R&D intern at Nutaq, web programmer for the Government of Quebec, and electrical engineering research intern at Université Laval. Early experience includes quality assurance testing at Activision Blizzard. Educationally, Simon is pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Université Laval, having completed a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field and a Diploma of College Studies in Electronic Technologies.
