Alexander Baumann

Alexander Baumann's work experience includes various roles in different companies.

Alexander started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Bayreuth in 2011.

In 2012, they interned at Allianz Group, followed by internships at PwC and zeb consulting in 2013.

In 2014, Alexander had temporary roles at Bain & Company, specifically in Private Equity, and at Venture Stars GmbH as an Intern.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Strategy Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Alexander then joined Sandoz as a Global Business Planning & Analysis Manager from 2017 to 2019.

Next, Alexander joined Novartis in 2019 as a Global Senior Manager, Digital Finance, where they led various projects and advised senior management on strategic actions.

Returning to Sandoz, they held roles as Head Digital Strategy & Program Operations, Head Change Management ad interim, and Senior Manager Divisional Strategy from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Alexander works at Sandoz as the Global Head Strategy & Operational Excellence, Technology. Alexander will also start a new role as the Global Head Transformation, Enabling Functions (VP) in 2023.

Alexander Baumann has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth. Alexander also has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Additionally, they have completed semesters abroad at The University of Queensland and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, both for their M.Sc. degree.
