Michael Langer

Michael Langer is the Global Head of HSE Assurance at Sandoz, where they have been instrumental in achieving a lost time accident rate of 0.15 per 200,000 working hours and a 70% reduction in VOC emissions since 2005. With over 15 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, they have developed a proactive safety culture that includes contractor engagement and line management participation. Previously, Michael held various leadership positions at Novartis and TÜV Rheinland AG, focusing on compliance, risk management, and safety audits. They have an engineering degree from HBLVA für Chemische Industrie and a Master of Engineering in Theoretical Physics from Technische Universität Wien.
