Thomas Stangler

Thomas Stangler is a seasoned professional in regulatory affairs and biopharmaceutical development, currently serving as the Director of Regulatory Affairs CMC at Sandoz since April 2023. Prior to this role, Stangler held various leadership positions at Novartis from January 2016 to March 2023, including Director and Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs CMC, and Team Leader in both Regulatory CMC Biosimilars and Strategy & Operations. Stangler's experience also encompasses a significant tenure at Sandoz from 2007 to 2015, where responsibilities included leading the global Quality by Design team and overseeing process development strategies for biopharmaceuticals. Stangler's academic background includes a Dr. rer.nat. in Biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth and a Master’s degree in Physics from Portland State University, with substantial research experience in structural biology.
