Hubert Kargl

Hubert Kargl possesses extensive experience in cutting technology and applied research, currently serving as Manager of Concept and Technology Development at Sandvik since January 2008, where responsibilities include the design of prototype machines. Previously, Kargl held the position of Manager of Cutting Technology and Applied Research, focusing on mechanical rock cutting and conducting tests both in laboratory settings and onsite. Kargl's career also includes military service in the Weather Reporting Department at the Österreichisches Bundesheer and a brief role as a Student Assistant at ETH Zurich. Kargl holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mining University Leoben, completed between 1986 and 1993, and attended BRG Knittelfeld from 1978 to 1986.
