Megan Brown is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in peer support and community services. Currently serving as a Peer Worker at Neami National since November 2023, Megan has previously held roles as a Peer/Lived Experience Team Leader at SANE and Support Coordinator at Beyond Abilities. With a background as a Veteran Services Wellbeing Manager at RSL LIFECARE LIMITED and Community Support Manager at RSL DefenceCare, Megan has managed various aspects of homelessness support and welfare services. Earlier experience includes a Compliance Officer position at RSL NSW and a Merchandiser role at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Educational qualifications include a Diploma of Education in Counseling Psychology from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and a Diploma in Community Services from the Australian College of Applied Professions.

SANE
SANE supports all people in Australia affected by complex mental health issues. We exist to break barriers, raise expectations, and champion the voices of people with lived experience and their families and communities; to increase peer-led, connected support and drive systemic change. SANE is unique in our focus of supporting people who experience complex mental health issues, trauma, and supporting the mental health of those who are autistic and people with intellectual disability. We provide a range of free digital and telehealth support services including peer support, counselling, community forums, peer-led groups, art and social groups and information resources. SANE is widely respected as a lived experience-led organisation and advocate with a long history of collaboration across and beyond the mental health and suicide prevention sectors.
