Ryan Block

Ryan Block is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering management, product development, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Senior Engineering Manager at Sanity since September 2024, Ryan oversees engineering and product management for the Sanity Content Operating System’s features. Previously, Ryan co-founded Begin, which was acquired by Sanity, and held leadership roles at Oath, AOL, and Engadget, where Ryan was a founding Editor-in-Chief. Additional contributions include mentoring early-stage hardware startups at Highway1, co-hosting the MVP podcast, and co-founding gdgt. Ryan's background also encompasses early roles in network engineering at RedDot and significant experience in launching innovative consumer products and technology platforms.
