Andrew Foote

CEO & Co-Founder at Sanivation

Andrew Foote is the CEO and co-founder of Sanivation, a company that provides sustainable sanitation solutions for communities in need. Andrew has a background in engineering and sustainability, and has worked with various organizations to develop innovative solutions to pressing problems.

Foote began their career as a research engineer with the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where they developed a tool to assess the performance of emergency water treatment systems. Andrew then went on to work with the Centers for Disease Control as an ORISE Fellow in the Office of Sustainability. In this role, they provided scientific consultation to support sustainable behavior change messages and formulated a sustainability awareness training. Andrew also evaluated the efficiency of a pilot single stream recycling program.

In 2012, Foote joined Village Capital as a Program Manager. In this role, they were responsible for building the program from the ground up and recruiting and vetting high impact entrepreneurs to participate in Village Capital/VentureWell. Andrew then went on to co-found Sanivation, where they have been working to provide sustainable sanitation solutions for communities in need.

Andrew Foote attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they earned a BS in environmental engineering. Andrew then attended Emory University, where they earned a Bachelors of Arts in anthropology-global health.
